This month we featured Long Way Home Pit Bull Rescue and Papaya.

Papaya is a 1 year old, female, pit bull mix available for adoption from Long Way Home Pit Bull Rescue. Papaya was found as a stray in January and brought to a local clinic by a kind Samaritan. Upon her arrival, the clinic immediately called us asking if we could help, and once we saw her photos we couldnt turn away. She entered our program with severe demodectic mange and secondary skin infections, heartworm positive, and filled to the brim with every intestinal parasite imaginable. But despite her obviously uncomfortable situation, she was always kind and sweet. She has been with us for 5 months now, is completely healthy and healed, spayed, vaccinated, social with other animals, and still absolutely adores people. She could fit in any type of home: from being your running, hiking, swimming, jogging partner to a channel surfing, Netflix watching, couch snoozing, nap buddy!
